Glo-fish

Has anyone purchased the Glo-fish yet? They look really beautiful. I know they are easy to raise as they are zebra danios. I hear they breed true. Has anyone tried breeding them? I think they would look nice in long fins.

Most of the genetically engenred glo fish are sterile

I haven't seen them around here in a long time.. I do believe they breed true, but have never heard of someone in the hobby breeding them.

Haven't heard the sterile part, but it could easily be true.

I read an article about them when they were first released, The actual glo-fish were made starile in order to keep the fish from naturally breeding and not competing with local fish, i suppose there could have been a few compaines that were makeing knock off glo-fish that werent sterile

They are still around... I can get em... for like $12 each. (Not cheap lol)

I bet you can find fertile ones now... they first came out a few years ago.. I'm sure someone's got fertile ones by now.
