Why not sell it? How big is a Juwel 400, sounds pretty big? Probably fund most of getting a pond liner/filter. You could look at getting a plastic pre-moulded liner for ease of install maybe

I would sell it but the lid is broken as there is a bracket that has broken; hubby now admits to dropping the light fitting on it. Guess something that did not require a lid may be glad to live there.
It probably would break in the ground due to the frost etc so dunno seems a shame as it has been a good space for my fish.

You could still get away with selling just the tank. (Depending on the type of tank. I'm not familiar with that type of brand). I know a lot of people in the U.S. sell just the glass tank and you can buy light hoods separatly.

Thanks its the brace on the top of the tank. The lights are fine its just the lid will not fit hence tank will loose heat. Poor fishes. However I have thermostat heater on so hopefully but for piece of mind I am trying to persuade hubby for another tank.

Yeah there are loads of people who would buy a tank like that, if you were closer i would. Aslong as the 5 glass sides are intact its a useful larger tank imo.

If you want a pond, sell that tank which will net you enuf money to get a good amount of pond liner with cash too spare.

As you said glass is just to fragil for outdoors like that, frosts and stuff

Yeah, I'd buy it if I lived closer (and the price was right ) 400 litre capacity, you'd be able to sell that for a fair amount of money, even with the damaged hood.

If I understand the problem correctly - the brace across the top of the tank is broken...

Juwel sell them separately so you will be able to repair it
