Glass, Plastic & Silicone

hey guys.

Ive cracked my tank its a 2 ft tank, and i dont feel up to fixing it.

Im going to get a couple of rats for it

Now, what i want to know is how well does silicone stick plastic to glass? I have spotted some plastic corner shelfs (like the ones for in showers) and they will be perfect, as they wont absorb pee and stink/rot. Any advice would be muchly appreciated!

Silicone will stick plastic to glass well enough to stop a drip drip leak, but won't be good for any structural support or serious leaks. There is a new GE silicone that just came out that claims to be able to adhere to both silicone and plastic, but not sure if it or something similar is available in the UK
