I have recently purchased a Glass Catfish. Everything I've read about them says that they are schooling fish they can become very stressed or even die if they are not kept in groups of at least six. I have other 7 other cats (4 corys, 3 suckers/algae eaters) and about 50 platys of various sizes. Will they school with these fish? If not, will they be ok on their own?

My firend had two in his tank and this was stocked up with plenty of hiding spaces and a high water flow. I beleive he didn't have any problems with them.

I had a group of 4 and i never seen them , when i increased the group to 9 i seen them all the time - i am now back to 7 due to stress from tank moves but will be increasing the numbers again
they DO NOT swim with corys etc but need their own kind to feel confident otherwise you will hardly ever see them
any fish that needs a group will get stressed if it is on its own
