I'm pretty sure that one of my Glassies has Ich. I've done a gravel vac, water change and medicated the water with Rapid White Spot Remedy. In your collective experiences, how long until the parasites drop off? Then, how long until the other fish are infected? I've been advised to re-medicate in 3 days.

that looks more like a bacterial infection , i had a glass cat with the same look (it developed it in the quarentine tank) hard to tell if it's white spot from the pic though
Are the spots the size of salt or larger

The glass cats turn gradually milky white when ill and stressed and when they have a bacterial infection the start to get milky streaks on their bodies

I would remove him into a quarentine tank if you can and also answer some question hun

how many glass cats do you have?
what are the results for
ammonia
nitrates
nitrites
ph

what is the tank temp
what other fish are in the tank
tank size
gravel vac and water change frequency

pH: 7
Ammonia: 0ppm
Temp: 25C
Don't have a nitrate/nitrite test.

Shared tank with corys, sucking cats, bristlenoses, platys and tandanus. 5 glass catfish in tank.

Tank is 3 x 1.5 x 2 feet. Water change every 2 weeks.

The spots on it's dorsal side are small, about the size of salt. The spot on it's ventral side is either one large one, kinda star shaped, or a few small spots which are close together.
