Glass Catfish - Difference?!

I am planing on adding 6 glass catfish in my 240 liter male guppy tank. I would like to get k. minor as it is said they grow smaller than k.bichiris. But how to tell them apart if the shop doesn't label them correctly?

Would they go together with any other small catfish (which would of course also have to get along well with guppies)?

the size is the major difference.
of course there are other differences but to the average hobbyist they are not going to matter an iota.

hum...Then how would I know what the shop has if they only have youngsters?

Kryptopterus bicirrhis has a rudimentary dorsal fin, however to the untrained eye it is very hard to see.
K.minor has no such fin.

it is most likely that the shop has Kryptopterus bicirrhis as these are the most widely caught and imported.

you may want to google to check this but i always thought one species had short barbels and the other had fairly long barbels?
