Give My Gibbiceps Away Or Keep?

Ummm I can only tell you from my experience of their growth. I've had a gibby for 4 years now and its grown for 1 and 1/2 inches to just over 8 inches if that helps.

I wouldn't give mine away for the world hes so lovely and has a personality . I've already upgraded tanks for him once and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. I suppose it all comes down to the point of do you have room for a bigger tank in the future? If so (and this is possibly because I have multiple tank syndrome) I'd buy a bigger tank for him asap.

I bought my old gibby in May last year I think. He was 4" then. By the time I rehomed him (in the Autumn) he had reached nearly a foot. Given the right space and conditions, they grow on average an inch a month when they're young. They're very hard to rehome at larger sizes, and if you're anything like me, you'll get very attached. We bought a 6ft tank specifically so we could keep him, but unfortunately when we moved we had to downsize and De Niro had to be rehomed. If I were you I'd consider returning/rehoming him now while he's still small, unless you have plans to upgrade to a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft tank soon. :good:
