Ok i already have my 5.5 gal for fishy but i wanna get a girly too neways do u think she would get angry if she was in a smaller tank beside him or would it be fine... im thinkin of puttin her in the hex that i was gonna use for him originally because ive found that with the light hes not needing a heater but i dont wanna take it out in case like in the fall the power went out and his tank got cold... neways lol do u think i could put her beside him in a smaller tank and maybe later when i get my 10 gal set up would i be able to put them in a divided tank?

honestly i'm not one experienced much with bettas but i'm learning

and from the past posts i've read... 1gal should be enough room for 1 betta. so 5.5gal is room enough for 2! personally, i would just set a divider in the tank to separate them. that way, they can both share a tank and flare at eachother and no betta will be angry! i could be off... but it's just a suggestion

altho i see nothing wrong with your idea... either way i think would work just fine!

I agree that would be fine. She would be ok in a smaller tank next to him or in a divided tank. I would add some plants and lttle flower pots to her side so that she has sanctuary on her tank of the tank in case his flirting gets a little intimidating.

I agree, as long as they each have at least a gallon they should be fine. As long as they're warm and have places for refuge everything should work perfectly
