My parents bought me four little feeder goldfish, this one has a problem or more. I saw him last nite scratching on the rocks in my big tank, so this afternoon i transferred him to a little goldfish bowl I have. He also has a weird colored gill on his right side, its like white and red? Is the red blood perhaps? Could it be from something that happened at the store? he hasn't been doing so well in addition to those things.
Oh as for the tank it was formerly in if it has anything to do with whats wrong, the nitrite and nitrates leveled the day aft i got all the fish ( had a goldfish that died the day i got these new ones). The tank has been established for just over a month now.
Thanks ahead of time for any help!
Ohh PS he also has clamped fins and is swimming awkward? humph

Salt will help if theres any parasites hiding in the gills. All new fish should be quarantined for a month as 99% of them are likely to be carrying something contagious.
If you have aquarium salt then add that at a level teaspoon per gallon three times over twelve hour intervals to get a .3% solution.
When doing water changes, remember to re add the salt you have taken out but dont add salt if you are filling up through condensation loss.

We had a fish once that had red appear round his gills,Sorry but not long after this we lost him :rip: Hope you have more luck than we did. I will keep my fingers crossed for you ;)
