Giesemann Light Changing Bulb

hi my giesemann is 150w, could i just put a 250w bulb into it?

it would be pointless i think, it wont run as bright as a 150W and will probably shorten the life of the bulb.

i could be wrong though.

The bulb probably would not fire and even if it did, its life would be drastically shortened.
