Howdy.

Is it best to feed my Plec at night just before the lights go off? I read this information for another Pleco. on some site, because theyre not very active throughout the day...so any food in the tank will be taken up by all the other fish, but the Pleco comes alive at night therefore best to feed it then. Correct?

Also is my Pleco the type that likes driftwood?

Thanks in advance.

They do prefer to feed at night, but they will feed during the day as well.

Yes all pleco's love bogwood.

Gibbies don't *eat* bogwood though. As for feeding, mine used to trough through half a courgette at least twice a week. How much yours will eat will depend on it's size, but given they're so fast growing, they tend to be piglets. :good: Veggies/fruit such as courgette, cucumbers, peas and even a bit of melon (I generally remove the softest part before feeding them this) were big faves of our gibby.

Would love to see pics :D

Do all pleco like drift wood. I usually feed mine sometimes during day or during night the same thing.

Most plecos need bogwood in their diet to some extent as it's a good form of fibre for them. Depends on the species. Panaques (royal plecs, flash plecs, clown plecs etc) cant live without it - it's their main diet. Some of the carnivores wont touch it at all.
