My plakat Atticus is seriously huge. He was my first one so I thought maybe he was just older than the subsequent ones, but now that it's been awhile I am starting to wonder. I've never seen a giant or half giant in person, so I really don't know what I'm looking for.

He's this long, head to tail...

Same picture just blown up ;)

thnx for the pic sorrel, he is a big boy, i did more reserch and found that in plakats, sometimes males will grow extrodinaryily big but nowhere close to the "giant betas" u'v heard of. i think it was some breeder useing steroids and growth enhansers on his spawns, i would get one -_-

gl, atticus is real cool

Wow! that's about 4.5 inches...which puts him over the norm for half giants (3.5 inches), but small for a full giant...How old is he? He may be still growing and may make it to full giant size (7 inches).

If you look at Jim's stock pages, he has some long finned giant gene spawns in the works, so we may be seeing some long finned giants soon!

Wow that is exciting Linda! I really don't know how old he is because he is one of my bettas that I bought at the store and not from a breeder so I have no age estimate for him, however, he has grown since I've gotten him, so maybe he's not an old man just yet
