We have three giant danios in a 75 gallon community tank. They leave the other fish alone mostly. But they seem to chase eachother and body-slam eachother quite often. Yesterday they did it for hours, it looks quite aggressive, and at one point I saw a scale come off of the larger fish (who was not the aggressor). In the end though, nobody seemed worse for wear.
I've read that Danios play quite a bit, so I'm inclined to beleive this is what's happening, I just wanted a second opinion. If I'd seen this in any other fish, i'd be worried.
I think we'll get a few more to form a proper school, but they seem to school with the rainbows quite a bit. They are incredibly active fish!
