no daudy you couldent breed a 7 inch w/ a 1.4-2.5 betta..there is 2 females..my mom wants them all

Well if by chance he didn't kill her :/, they'd probably create a lot of 3.5 inch sized ones.

I KNOW THEY ARE!!!! im not stupid... im just saying when they are born they arent freaking 200000inches big they are still tiny!!!! and as they develop they still stay small then they get bigger!!! god just because im 15 doesnt mean im effing crazy and no nothing!

you guys research. a giant can be bred with a noral female i believe and you get 75% giant 50% giant and 25% giant so some will be bigger then others

slamster17 is right, but breeding a giant with a normal-sized betta gets you 100% half-giants. The ratios slamster posted are what you'd get by crossing two half-giants together.
A giant or half-giant male can breed with a normal-sized female, but not vice vera because if the female is too large it is hard for the male to wrap with her.

Beautiful!--Why don't you see more of these? (Are they hard to breed?)

They're a relatively new strain, and most you find are plakat. Jim Sonnier is working with them I believe, and had some giants for sale a while back (and still may have some.)

Anyway, just because a betta is bigger doesn't mean it's capable of doing more damage when fighting, which is why it's ok to breed giants with normal-sized females. Giants are also slower, so it would be easy for the female to escape :)
