can i add a few ghost shrimp to the tank that i have a dwarf puffer in? and will ghost shrimp behave as bottom feeders? the people at the pet store told me that but i want to make sure.

Yes the ghost shrimp will act as bottom feeders for a couple of hours... then they will act as puffer feeders.

Crustaceans & molluscs are the natural food of nearly all species of puffer.

HEHE, yep, they wont be pets for long. Though with my SAP's they last a good while as they are alot quicker than the puffers, but eventualy ..... gobble gobble.

Just a note, I know that sometimes ghost shrimp are sold as food for dwarf puffers, but it's been my experience that the two can co-exist. I had a GS in with five DP for quite some time. It may be hit or miss, but since they're only about $0.50 each a little trial and error wouldn't be too expensive

And if we put them in our tank with our Dwarf Puffers, withing an hour most of the shrimp are eyeless, and many have been disembowelled.
