ghost shrimp

i ahve 2 ghost shrimps in with my betta, wut do the ghost shrimps eat and was this an OK idea?

theyll eat food that falls to the bottom..

everytime i tried ghosties with my bettas they were gone the next day

Well, i bought ones that r kind of big... do u think stewart will still eat them?

i have ghost shrimps in with my betta for weeks now and my bettas don't touch htem at all

oh two more questions... do they breed and can u tell male from female?

they will eat their babies in a heartbeat. you can tell a pregnant female because she has little greenish or blackish looking balls on her stomach. even in a planted tank, i havent had success breeding them. their babies ar elike potato chips to them. make sure you quarantine them first before putting them with you rbetta. one of my goldfish got a nasty infection because i didnt quarantine.
