ghost shrimp-how many in a 10 gal?

how many ghost shrimp would you recommend for a 10 gal? i put in 5 yesterday, not sure if they got eaten or not yet

Depends what you keep with them. I have kept 25 in a 5 gallon with nothing else but snails. They will however produce waste the same as fish, so be careful. Mine were kept as food so if one died, I just promoted it to the puffer tank.

If you want to keep them, stick with 5, 10 is possible depending on fish.

well i am just keeping them because i heard they're good scavengers. i have a flame dwarf gourami and a couple lemon tetras in the 10.
