Meet my new ghost shrimp for my betta tank!  I believe they are Palaemonetes paludosus, IDed by some red markings.

My LFS had them at 1$ for 4 shrimp.  I decided I'd try these guys out with my betta (Scherbatsky is his name) to see if it's safe to get a more expensive shrimp.  Don't want to get expensive amano's and have them end up as a snack.  These ghost shrimp are pretty neat though!  I might just get more of the same!

So far, I've had one fatality.  Not sure why yet.  I thought there was another, but it was just shedding.

I have amanos in with my betta and they get along just fine, but then he is a very placid betta, The amanos can bounce out of the way very quickly anyway, but he doesn't seem to worry about them
