Ok so my cousin wants to get a pair of rams to go with his ghost knife, i told him that the ghost knife mite eat the rams but im not actually sure myself so ill ask yall.
his ghost knife is still really small tho so should i tell him thats its ok or no?

I hate to disagree, but I disagree - from my personal experience.

My BGK is 6-7" and I have him with dwarf gouramis, rams, ottos - he's fine, infact, he's the one that hides away in his little corner!!!!

Everyone has different experiences - I wouldn't worry too much myself, just make sure you give the BGK a varied diet - mine LOVE algae tablets and brine shrimp!!!

Saying that Paul is far more experienced than I am.

I wouldn't put cardinals in there with it though, wouldn't expect them to last long!

mines 8-9in. too. He stays to himself. dosn't bother no one. but yes everyone does have their own experiences

The rams may be alright with your BGK at 8-9", but he could be as little as half grown. I certainly wouldn't advise putting the two species together long term.

After all, after two years of being fine it would only take one minute of not being fine to end the whole affair.

How big of a tank is the BGK in?

I wouldn't push the issue if it is in any tank smaller then a 55 gallon.

I would warn you that if the BGK is already established, the introduction of smaller fish would mean he could have an expensive snack. I would be carefull of the types of fish to add to the tank, maybe some medium sized "community" fish would work out better for him. Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I hear about the Rams is that they are really picky about their water conditions, so that is just another factor to look at.
