I have a small patch of GHA on my rock it was there when I got the rock and Woody has just jogged my memory by mentioning it. I just got a phosphate test kit yesterday and it is at 0. What is the best way to get rid of it  . Tomorrow I should be getting a few zoa frags delivered so I will take the rock out and scrub it with a tooth brush. I may also turn the rock upside down so it opens up more coral holes as they way it sits now there isn't many places I can put coral but there is some star polyps on the side it is now and I don't whant to kill them by putting them upside down.

2 blue legged hermits, 2 red legged hermits, 2 turbo snails, 2 nass snails and 1 ceirth.

emerald crab :good:
as soon as mine fell to the rock, it grabbed a bit

I have only heard they do bubble algae

and hair :good:
their more nocteral so they feed more at night

Hmmm I wouldn't want to get one just in case it's a coral destroyer or a murderer. But if other people suggest one then that will have to be done.

i bet you won't see it much, like mine found a small cave in LR

Hi buddy lol. Emeralds would be fine mate. I have one in my nano and he does a great job.
If you want to see algae then read the beginning of my journel. I had just a tiny, tiny bit more than yours lol and I explain the steps I took to get rid of it.

A good CUC, phos remover and a good scrub are just some but regular water changes is key into keeping nutrients low (nitrate & phosphate) which is what algae feed off.

Just remove the rock and scrub it with a toothbrush or nail brush.

I used a bog brush because I had......ahem! A bit more than you!

Okay cheers I suppose you had a bit more okay alot more

Im doing weekly 10% WC at the moment as im lightly stocked but im going to get cheato and ill give it a good scrub tomorrow. :good:

Sounds like a good plan. If your adding cheato then there's no need for rowaphos or any nitrate remover as this algae consumes both.
If it's only a small patch of algae then just pull the piece of rock out and pull the algae off with your fingers or a little brush. Just remember to wear gloves tho in case there's a little bristle worm or majano near by!

Im defiantly wearing gloves.
Especially if my zoas come as I read that horror story earlier on here now im scared.

TSB, it will be dry sent for £3 but it comes on frag disks i think.
oh and i just love attaching corals to rock :/
but it is worth it as their amazing colours.

Liam-mexican turbo snail, i noticed that mine was eating it, and it has reduced a fair bit :hyper:
