Hi emmaliz11 and welcome to the forum. :hi:

Edited: I see that you posted the answers to my questions before I posed them. I commend you for doing the research before you buy fish. That has been a hot topic in the Chit Chat section in the last few days. Here is the thread if you are interested.

Angel fish are beautiful fish but need a big tank (at least 16" tall) and are not good beginner fish. You need a tank that is cycled and has great water parameters. They also prefer slightly acidic (pH below 7.0) water. I would suggest you take a sample of your tap water to your fish store and have them test it for you for pH and KH. Tell them you want the values in numbers such as pH is 7.2 and KH is 5. Most stores will simply tell you that they are fine but that doesn't help you decide what fish to get. It is much easier to keep fish that prefer the water conditons you have than to try to adjust the pH of your water to suit the fish. Raising pH is not terribly difficult but lowering it is almost impossible. Good luck.

From your screen name, I assume you are 11 yrs old. There are a lot of fish that are pretty easy to care for. What size tank do you have or are you still looking at them and just getting ideas on what to get?

Here are several pinned topics for beginners. Some good information in them. The most important thing is getting the tank cycled. Once that is done, everything else becomes much easier. I would definitely recommend a fishless cycle. It is somewhat agravating to have to wait to get fish but your life will be much easier and your fish will be much healthier. Browse all the sections and read the pinned topics at the top of the page. A lot of good information in them.
