getting another new betta

ok i got my first betta not to long ago and well im addicted and im dying to go out and get another. i have a male and im planning on getting another 1 gallon tank so i just want to know people oppinons. should i get a male or female(if i can find one)?

oh and also if anyone has a site with pics of the different types of fins can you post it so i can take a look?

You can check out a great site on fins here. Also, if you want a girl or boy - that's up to you! Usually pet store females aren't near as pretty as the males, but if you can find a nice one, they are awesome fish. My females have TONS of personality - even more so than some of my males. However, you can't deny the incredibly beauty of the boys! I say just go look around, and see what catches your eye.

I say go for a female! Once I got my first female betta (Pixie) I fell in love with them.

Yeah, since you don't have a female, I say go for it!

Oh, regarding color: my first female was a rescue from Walmart and she is a gorgeous pink with green coloring on her fins. Those pet store females aren't always drab.
