Hey all well i just talked to my dad and hes getting me a 24gallon nano cube for christmas. (Yes i am 20 years old and overly exited about it) I plan to set up a FOWLR at the moment and in the future when money allows i would like to upgrade the lighting to allow for some corals.

But my question is what will i need that will not come with the cube, i have done alot of research on a saltwater setup and have a rather good idea, and have read steelhrs (sp?) post on his nano journal, so i know i need the following:

-Hydrometer
-LR,LS
-Reef Salt
-Saltwater master test kit.
-Possible upgraded lighting

I believe that i am in the understanding that the nano cube has all filtration and a surface skimmer that is needed built into the system. I think i am correct on this.

Please help if i am missing anything.(which im sure i am cus ive been at work and college all day and night and i want to go to bed!)

Thank ya much for any help!! :good:

Depends on the cube and where you get it. Lots of tank makers do a 24g model. I tend to like the looks of the Oceanic ones myself, but I've never owned one. You might get more hits on this topic in the "nano" section ;)

Also i would bother with the LS unless its outa somone elses tank. the stiff in the bag prolly has no life in it anyhow
