German blue ram motionless near filter what is wrong?
IMG_4943.jpeg
my German blue ram has been motionless (except for breathing) near my filter for a while - what could be wrong? Water parameters are all good.

Some information might help.
What are the water parameters?
Temperature?
Is it eating?
Was it eating?
How long has the tank been set up, and is it cycled?
What size is the tank?
How long have you had the fish?
What are the other fish?.....

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
PH 7.5
Tank is 1.5 years old and fully cycled
Tank is 80 litres
We have two German blue Rams and we have had them for a couple of months
We have 7 platys and 2 pearl gouramis

The fish is skinny so either isn't getting enough food (possibly due to being bullied by the other ram), or it has intestinal worms and or gill flukes.

You need to monitor the fish for signs of aggression and make sure it gets enough to eat.

If you want to deworm them, section 3 of the following link has info on deworming fish.

What is the temperature of the tank water? Rams, Mikrogeophagus ramirezi in all their varieties, need water warmer than usual to do well.
