Hello All,

I had purchased a pair of German blue rams about 3 weeks ago. As soon as I brought them home, the female laid eggs but they didn't make it. They both still get along very well but I haven't seen any signs of them wanting to breed again. Has the love left or am I doing something wrong. I have 4 zebra danios ( who I think were the egg robbers), 4 mickey mouse platy, male and female beta, and 3 amano shrimp. My terrors seem to be the danios, because they are so active. They need manner lessons, but I want to know about my rams can someone pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee help!
Thanks to all and this forum.

My female Rams always seem to go in a 2-3 week cycle for egg laying....watch the tummy on the female- the closer she gets to laying her eggs the pinker her belly will be...also look for the ovipositer(?) ..that becomes more pronounced as the time gets nearer....a couple of ways to get them to lay eggs is to vary their food and do water changes...that was always key to mine laying eggs....they love the water changes.....hope that helps a little....
Good luck.....
Ericka
