I've just got hold of several at a very good bargain price. I've got purple ones and red ones, are the purple ones vampires or "yellow eyes"?
Anyone help me ID both of the species?
Im reading up on them at every available moment as much as i can. I've always wanted some but didnt think i would get the opportunity for a long time, so it was quite a shock when i saw a tank full of them at a local fish shop.
At the moment they are seperated per species. Both have a mix of almost all cocofibre, a bit of sand, and a small amount of rotting leaves and wood mixed in for substrate. I've also given them a small section of water which has a couple of aquatic plants in and moss. On the land they both have bark hides and bits of a moss ball to climb over. They also have a few twigs to climb from.
I only got them yesterday and that was the best i could do in the short space of time i was home. Im thinking of adding some UV lighting in both of them and maybe transfer the one lot into an exo terra vivarium which will give me more opportunity to create the pallidarium i want
