Genesis' 17 Litre (5 Usg) Nano Journal

[Genesis]

After a bout of MTS (Muliple Tank Syndrome) I decided to set up my old betta tank as a new nano planted aquarium!


After a lot of cleaning, binning of the old substrate, addition of; new water, a mature filter, a bridge and a 20 watt heater.
This is where I am at!

I plan on keeping my 5 male Endlers in here, as they are very small fish, I also don't want them breeding with my females anymore as I'm already overrun with fry! *Mmm, my severums are looking hungry*

Note: I just found out the endlers will jump, any other suggestions?

Still, I'm buying a smaller filter and some sand and plant-growing substrate later on today; I will also be purchasing new lighting in the weeks to come.
I will update with pics as the aquarium develops!


UPDATE: Bought sand, and added a few amazon swords

The lid is temporary till I can get a glass one fitted
As is the filter, it's a matured one from another tank!

Removed the lid, a new glass one will be fitted shortly, plants coming Wednesday!!


Another update: 10 Ender's Livebearer guppy fry have been added to keep up the bacteria

I plan on either an overhead lighting system on brackets, or maybe a clip on light (with a powerful bulb)
