I'm not new to plecos.. well, owning one atleast... but It has never occured to me, what gender I have. I've got a young pleco, can't be more than 3 inches. Is there a way to tell its gender? I'm not sure if someone's posted it before, I've looked but didn't see anything about it.

OK, here is what I read on PlanetCatfish.

They said that it was difficult by the untrained expert, but males have a "stub" that is longer than females in their undercarriage.

Stub, lol!

Good luck!
