So i have a pair of german blue rams, they paired off as soon as they were introduced. The female laid eggs a few days ago and they were guarding them together, which was quite ammusing to watch! But then they ate them. Now all of a sudden they seem to have lost interest in each other. and are quite aggressive to each other. Is this normal? What has happened?

Similar thing happened with mine. Unfortunately they both died though, changed tanks recently and I believe there was a nasty bacterial problem :(. I think the females just get 'hormonal' lol. When she turns pink bellied again and is ready to spawn they might be more paired up again.

should i add another female or wait for them to pair up again? I think i have enough space. they are alone with six neon tetras and one betta in a 90 litre tank?

even though the eggs have been eaten, the male ram seems to be still chasing everyone away from where they were, including the female. Why is he doing this? The female seems to be getting very stressed now and losing her colour. Is there anything i can do?

Hmmm, perhaps turn the tank lights off and rejig the tanks ornaments and plants then turn the lights back on. This will remove any territories ect.
