i know that gar's eat live foods what else can they be fed instead of feeder fis every day or every other day?

are you thinking of adding gars to your 125g? as it is already overstocked.

you don't need to feed you fish, feeder fish. all of the fish you have will take pellets and other prepared foods.

do you quarantine your live food?

Gars will eat everything. Prawns, strips of white fish, squid, floating pellets, etc. Mine loved the guts from mackerel and trout. Nice fish, but you need a lot of space. I kept mine in a 200 UK (240 US) gallon tank, and even then, it had to do some careful steering not to bump into things.

no my friend got one and we were a big als and he was lookin for some other things he could feed it, so i thought id ask here=/
