Ok guys...so I bought a couple of gang valves so that I could use more than one hose from one air pump. Now...the thing is, they came with no instructions, so am I automatically just supposed to know how to use them? I've been googling for some sort of instructions, but I've had no luck. It's a 2.5 way valve, Aqua Culture brand. Can anyone help me? I don't know why I can't figure it out. It's got to be something simple.

does it have 3 pipe connectios and a twist knob?

the best way to sort iy out is to blow through it and play with it :)

I did the same thing - ended up getting so pissed off that I threw them in the garbage. -_-

I then got out some rubber bands, hair clips and binders and clinched off my airlines that way. It made me so mad! I am not a patient person by any means. I'm sure it's something simple too but I was very crabby that day.

I don't know what you mean by "2.5 way" but the gang valve should have a connection from the air pump and multiple output connections to airlines in the tank. There are usually knobs or wheels that turn to regulate the air flow to each output line. Try playing with it without water first and see how it works and how the air comes out. If you aren't using one of the output valves, you might need to turn it to the off position so the air will flow correctly.

Okay, if it's the same type of valve as mine this should help...... if not, I got to play with my camera anyway!

1) comes in 2 bits

2) Push the 2 central holes together with the bits at 90 degrees to each other. You can't get the wrong bit on, they don't fit :)

3) Rotate back thru 90 degrees so the flanges engage and they're flat - now looks like one unit

4) Push tube from air pump on END

5) You can now use as a single vavle just to control air flow, or as a 'splitter' to connect 2 devices, each with adjustable air flow.

If you only use it for one, screw the unused connection all the way down to close it or you'll leak!

HTH :D
