Hi, I have successfully bred, reared and sold on Galaxy rasbora.
I currently have 16 wild adults for breeding plus a number of young fry ranging from a couple of months to 4 months. Most of the 4 month old fry have been sold but I've kept a few for future breeding.
They are kept in a 4ft planted tank and fed live and frozen foods.
When I want to breed, I select 3 fat females and place them in a 2ft tank with black gravel, lots of java moss, keep the temp at around 25C. Don't know the ph, but I think it's fairly neutral. Feed plenty of live foods several times a day. Partial water change every other day, (just to remove any excess food) After a week I add 2 large males, leave them to do their thing and remove all adults after 4-5 days or as soon as I see any sign of fry in the tank. Usual spot them near the surface or stuck like little 'fish sticks' to the glass.
It's a good idea to start adding drops of liquifry #1 when you add the males so there is plenty of food for the fry when they arrive. Continue adding liquifry for the first week after fry appear. You can then also feed microworms and after a couple of weeks, live bbs.
Hope that helps.
K
