Hi everyone
I have a Galaxea coral which isn't doing to well. I feed the coral Marine snow every other day and I am slowly adding a calcium to the water but nothing seems to help. I don't think its got much longer and I would like any advice you can give me to help. Thanks

What type of lighting is it under and how deep is the tank?

Is the galaxia on rocks or is it on the sand? also does it touch any other coral or is it very close?

I also have mushroom polyps which are doing well but none near the Galaxea. The Galaxea is on the sand bed with slight current. I have marine white and blue lighting but thats all I can tell you about the light. The tank is 3ft wide and 12 inch deep.

everything seems fine withthe exception of the lighting.
Its probably in need of stronger lighting IMO. this is not a soft coral like the polys but a hard coral and their requirments usually lean towards a more powerful light.

If you can increase the lights then you might see a change for the better

I have my Galaxia at the top of the tank. It is an excruciatingly slow grower.
So don't expect to see any real growth.
Don't get me wrong, it does grow, but it is not a coral you will find yourself having to frag a couple times a year to keep it in check.
