where is my mind?
I have a Fluval 2+ in my tank and usually after I turn it off to clean the tank, when I turn it on again nothing happens. So I take it out and shake it a bit and test it out in a bucket of water and its fine. But today I just can't get it started again - it's making a sort of motor-running noise but not moving any water. I've cleaned it thoroughly to make sure it's not blocked or anything.
So my questions are:
- is there anything else I could do to get it working tonight?
and
- when I go to the LFS tomorrow, what should I get to replace it? I'm tempted to get another fluval because it's what I've always had and I like the design, but at the same time it would be nice to have something that won't just pack up and die on me for no reason. Call me old fashioned but it seems like fish tnak equipment should be reliable enough not to jeopardy the safety of your fish. grrrr.
thankyou!
