Does anyone know what this is? It keeps coming back and I’m worried about it. My parameters are good right now Ammonia: .25 at most (test is in between zero and .25) Nitrites: 0ppm Nitrates: 0ppm Ph is a bit hard at 8 but it always has been since I started the tank. Temp is 78-80. I put in some aquarium salt, less then what is recommended just because of decorations and such. I’ve heard it could be over feeding but I’m only worried because it seems like one of my Gouramis is favoring the bottom of the tank which could just be my other one chasing him but I’m unsure since there is no physical signs of illness.

Looks like some sort of thread algae. Probably harmless. I would be more worried about that ammonia. Any detectable amount is harmful to fish, and if you're getting ammonia it likely means that nitrites are warming up in the bullpen.

Thank you for the advice! And yeah I did a quick water change but ammonia is wonky with my kit it almost never shows zero even after a water change lol

Your water changes probably aren't removing it all. The ammonia test is very sensitive.
The kit I have is known to have issues with ammonia testing :) it’s unfortunately common for it to give misreadings with it, like it will give .25 ammonia on tap water it’s the API master kit
