Ive started to get fluffy fuzzy stuff on my mopani wood in my tank.

Anyone know what it could be??

It's quite possibly some type of algae but hard to say. Can you post a picture of it?

The soft white stuff you are experiencing is a fungus that grows on certain woods found above ground (not under water like drift wood) and is particularly prominent on mopani. It smells funny and look bad, but it won't harm the fish in any way. You can clean it off, but remove it from the tank to do so or it will make a mess. It will keep growing, or growing back, for a couple of weeks to a month and then stop on its own.

Did I miss something, but where did he say it was soft and white ? :dunno:
How long has your tank been set up ? Do you have any algae in your tank ? It could just be the beginnings of some algae growth.

it is soft and white and cotton like....

it may also be the result of overfeeding i hear??

Sounds like fungus to me. Take the wood out and place in a solution of mild bleach 1:20 for about 5 mins. Rinse well with dechlorinated water before reintroducing into your tank.

BTW, this will work even if its algae!

I just knew what he was referring to and expanded on the description
