Fungus Outbreak, I think.

I am starting to see small white cotton like spots on my fish. I don't think it's Ich because the spots are not all over the fishes body. My betta has 1 spot on his gill, he can't flare this side up. My dwarf gourami has one on his lip also. I don't really know how this happened but right now I wish to try and cure my fish. I bought some treatments from Jungle, Ich and fungus. I wanted to get advice from the forums before using any of them. How long will it take to cure? Also, will the treatment kill off my beneficial bacteria? Will I have to recycle my tank?

Probably fungus. Depends how harsh the medication you bought is. I've had fungus before, and never had to recycle my tank. I'm guessing that if it's just for fungus, and doesn't have antibiotics in it, you'll probably be fine. It should take a week or two. Start treating it as soon as you can, mouth fungus is nasty...
