Hi I have a very poorly betta. He's in a tank with 3 amano shrimps and i'ts not looking good for him. I am treating him at the moment with help from the 'emergency section' of this forum. However my questions is: can my poorly betta pass the infection onto my shrimps? if he does die I would like to put the shrimps into my other tank but don't want to pass on the infection. Would it be ok to move them? Thanks

Just found my betta has died, poor Sam, Can anyone answer my question about my shrimps please.

Fungus isn't a disease so it cant just pass between fish and shrimp, it cant even pass between fish and fish. Do you know what caused the fungus? Usually its a weak immune system that lets fungus take hold, and a weak immune system often means bad tank conditions. Was your betta new? What size is that tank and how often do you do changes.
Sorry to hear about your betta :( .
Fungus is a symptom, treating the fungus is not solving the problem so your shrimp could be in danger.
