If you look in my profile post you'll see my "algae" issue which currently on the way to resolution yey! I feel it's because of my nitrates being 20 ppm straight from the tap and imagine a 15 gallon with 9 molly juvies so most often than not the waters ~40ppm nitrate!

But since then I focused on my finals so I didn't really get to I observe my fish for about 2 weeks.

Now, I'm free from uni huhuhu, I noticed one of my fry is kinda just lazier than the others cause the others love pecking at everything whereas this one just swims around without pecking around. Then when the lights went out today I watched them, she's the only one near the high flow areas while her siblings forage around. She's still responsive tho, and I guess she lost a little weight? Because Sometimes I only feed them once a day inconsistently due to my sched lol and from the fact that the fish food I fed them was kinda bad since ants got in it and it lost its crispiness and prolly the nutrient content degraded due to the ants being in there eating it.

Cause last time this happened to, the shimmies, but with my guppies huhuhu, I don't think it was parasites cause gurl I treated them with dewormers for the internal, meth blue and salt for the external for quarantine. But during that time I didn't have a test kit, so when I DID I was surprised at my nitrates ahahaha.

Then my guppies died and I bought a molly to start again in my 15 gallon which turns out to be pregnant then my hope was reignited. Since I thought they were born in my water I thought hey they'd be fine but I guess nitrates are eventually gonna be harmful? IDK.

Now I want to re-home them by donating them to the LFS so that they can find better homes than mine. Cause I really want to retry for a third time now, but with nitrate levels that are only 10-20 ppm.On the plus side my plants are thriving 😂😂, prolly because heck my water's free fert's

need pictures and video of the fish
upload videos to YouTube, then copy & past the link here
if you use a mobile phone to film the fish, hold it landscape mode.

Yeah I would love to provide a visualizer , but the fish it kinda only does the shimmy when it's dark and I don't think my phone has the ability of my eye to see in dimmer settings.

You may be getting "test Kitted". I just made that phrase up, but the API Master test kit is not masterful. It doesn't tell you what is more important than nitrate, nitrite and ammonia once you have a cycled tank - water hardness.

In too soft water, coastal North and Central American livebearers will develop neuro problems that cause them to shimmy. Could the answer be there? The mysterious where you are on Earth with its differing waters may be part of the issue.

Lots has already been said about the issue. Start changing water to start with.

Oh I live in the Philippines, I tried to buy a gh ND kH kit but the GH kit was expired , so I got like 13 degrees kH. But for the hardness I think it's hard because of the stains and limescale in our kettle.

Also it's starting to get chillier here, from ~30-26C now to ~29-23C.

Update just this morning well at least in our part of world, shes doing fine again (I checked on them while lights off). I don't know what was yesterday. Maybe she's adjusting to sleeping mode? Also tested the water afterwards.
