Since i had a bit of a disaster with my old fry tank breaking i've got a new one in place, a clearseal 18x10x10, £23 from P@H, double to water volume of the old one. I had a load of furniture wood left over so i knocked up the stand with a shelf for the 90 litre a while back, just added the new tank to it and im all ready to go :D 5 sterbai eggs in there at the moment so will see what happens. :>

added two spoonfuls of playsand, a heater and small filter with a spray bar and stuck a kitchen cupboard light above it, some 6 Watt thing from wickes.

Going to clean up the 90 litre later, its looking pretty manky, going to get some black gloss for the back of both of them. fun fun

Yey, bit of black gloss and a tidy up :D

Did a cold water change on the big tank yesterday, they havnt spawned yet! da.mn them :D

Looking very good tizer :good: hope they spawn soon :)

Yer, might not have to move them to the top tank as quickly this time around, give them a chance to grow a little in the lower one. The 5 sterbai eggs i plucked out on Friday night are still looking good, not gone white yet anyway. Im going to get my tools out again next weekend and extend the stand a little to house a brine shrimp hatchery. :>

3 of the eggs darkening off, other 2 im not 100% sure about, yey.

Best of luck with the eggs and I am sure they will spawn for you again. :good: Now that mine have started I can't get them to stop.

i've had one hatch out! hes gobbing around in an ice cream carton at the moment, the other two were fertile but seemed not to make it, while the other two that i thought were infertile turned white and manky. So just the one! Not going to pay much care or attention to it really, quite a lot of hastle for one little'un, sounds mean i know, but he will get plopped into the fry tank tonight along with some food and plants. Should be enough to keep him going. I tested the filter last night with 1ml of household ammonia, ammonia test was nearly yellow this morning so i know its working.

Looking to buy 6 black schultzi tomorrow if i can get away from work early. My early birthday present from the missus as shes clueless what to get me :D i said to her i'll have Battlefield 3 please! But she said no games! :(

Its a fair effort, at least you got one! Ive not got any fish in my tank still :(

BUT, its all together, with a very generous offer of enough media to fill my new external, so i WILL have Sterbais soon! (Providing i can root some out from somewhere!)

Out of interest, where do you get your fish? Oxford isn't too far from me i guess, and considering i spend most of my weekends in Newbury, its a short hop!

Love the cabinet making skills!

lols, better than chucking it in the bin, it was old wood left over from a desk i built :D i like the screwheads showing, it screams of bodge job :D

I've got a lot of my fish from Maidenhead Aquatics in Wheatley south of Oxford, my peppered and bronze corys came from P@H, they looked like healthy stock, the rest have come from Ste12000 on ebay, he does mail order and its top notch, as are the fish.

Well theres room for "will it hold". Looks like you could sit a car on it!

There are two MA store round here, Dummer, and Thatcham. Good equipment prices, good range of it too, and lots of tanks. There are lots of fish too, but never a single fish that I want. Every stocklist ive put together seems to be the rarest possible fish to get!

Ill check out Ste :)
