Ok I've got my grow out tank cycling at the moment and I was wondering whether I should leave the filter in when I add the fry or just add an airstone? Which is the best option?

Also should I put in somethings for fry to hide in?

For the most part the fry will hang out on the bottom for the first couple days of life, but the parents will care for them. they probably wont need a place to hide, but something like java moss would be perfect. my suggestion is that you stop the filtering and add an airstone, once the fry are about a week old and the parents are out of the tank, you can cover the intake on the filter with some kind of netting and put it on low.

How old are they, and what type of filter is it?

I use a big plastic plant for the smaller fry to hide in, it gives them a better chance. As for caves and whatnot I don't use those as I don't want to encourage territorial behaviour, but that's up to you!

They aren't even a week old yet! I'm just trying to think ahead! The filter is a fluval 2+ that is in it at the moment! But I do have a spare pump and airstone if that would be better!

Unfortunately the grow out tank is up at my mums as my dad wouldnt let me set up a new tank! So my mums fiance will be doing most of the care for me! I'm not happy about it but it beats being left with nowhere for them to grow up!

Currently I don't have any filter running in the tank! I want to try and keep the fry at home as long as possible before having to move them up to the grow out tank as I really want to watch them develop!

Just my opinion but i think a Fluval2 will be a bit strong for the fry's liking :/ as they'll get blown around like no-bodies business, but hey just my opinion :)
