Am about to put a second tank together for fry/breeding. I believe a sponge filter is best to stop them getting sucked up. Does anyone have any recommendations? Its a twenty gallon tank, and am in uk, so only ones I can get in the uk preferably please.

I'm using a Discus-Pro sponge from S&D Punchard Discus, a specialist outlet. The great thing about the Discus-Pro is that you can leave the top half sticking out of the water and use it as a wet-dry filter (which allows the turbulence-free "duck pond" effect, without compromising on oxygenation).

Looks just the thing, I like the large surface area. I take it you just attach a airp pump to it?
