Frozen vs. Live

I was wondering if it matters whether i use frozen brine shrimp or live ones? I guess you are supposed to feed beta fry live brine shrimp a little into their development stage, and i was wondering if it would make a difference if frozen one were used as a substitute.

live. frozen or freeze dried bbs are all stuck together in big clumps. anyways live ones give them something to chase (gives them exercise) but you should feed them within 8 hours of hatching.

live ones can carry parrasites i will have to go with frozen

i have never heard of live bbs having parasites. the eggs come dry in little containers. other live foods carry parasites but not bbs.

o ok thnx i didnt know that, thats wat was stoping me from getting some for my bettas i might get some next time I go to the lfs

Yea, live BBS are safe (unless something is weird with your eggs or setup, be sure to clean your hatchery with HOT water after each use), the majority of breeders use them, so something is right with them, Lol.
