Thaw the food in tank water and then use a baster to feed it

i use a little dish put the frozen bw on it wait fr it to defrost them give the bettas what they need then refreze it and thats fine doing it that way

I prefer not re-freeze. Thats how meat and fish spoil. I would do just as you asked, and shave a chunk off and thaw. You can find some kind of container to put the rest in and keep froze. If you have any other fish in community tanks, you can feed the rest to them as well.

I agree on no to refreezing Not a healthy practice, just prepare a small amount and then if you need more you can easily make more
