I just got my first pack of frozen bloodworms, thawed a cube out, WOW they all love them!
But they can't eat an entire cube between them all, so I can stick the leftover in the fridge or something for another time? :dunno:

They'll stay ok in the fridge for like a day. Next time I recommend the flat pack. The worms are much more tender AND you can use as little or as much as you like, just break a corner off.

It takes 3/4 of a flatpack to feed my crew in one day. If I used cubes, I'd be popping those bad boys out all night

JEEZ!
How do you go about feeding them all those? Do you just dump a hunk into their tanks after you defrost? How many fish/tanks do you have anyway?

I go around and sit down and feed each of my fish one at a time with a toothpick. -_-
LOL

I defrost them in a cup of dechlorinated water and then feed them one fish at a time using an old colloidal silver dropper  It takes me around 30-45 minutes a night to feed everyone. I enjoy it though, so do they :p

Dang - that's impressive.
How do you ever go on vacations?
Do you have a betta nanny lined up?
LOL! Funny you should say that because we're going away for five days in June :X

I've already begun training them all, well my big tanks mainly -_- , to skip a day or so. I'll technically only be gone for three full days so I plan to feed them the morning we leave, then run right in there the second I get home. I'll be a nervous wreck the entire time so I really don't see this as much of a 'vacation'. I'd rather be home with my babes ,as pathetic as that sounds :/

EDIT~ I told my husband that I need to set up an answering machine in the betta room so I can call them and tell them mommy is thinking about em and on her way ASAP

You should just load them all up in radio flyer wagons and take them all with you. So, if you're going sightseeing or something, you'll just be pulling a wagon train behind you as you look thru your binocs. ;)

I know exactly what you mean, though.
I haven't had to leave for more than an overnight trip and the whole time I kept wanting to call and see how they're doing. Except they can't exactly answer the phone.
EDIT - I saw that you just added the bit about the answering machine. LOL

Trust me, I've thought about it  I still might smuggle a few with me :shifty:
I think they'd enjoy the beach

:p
Ok,Kara, I'm done mercilessly hijacking your thread now :p

hehe Bettamomma & Wuv!

I got 40 cubes for $3 so if I have leftovers I guess I can feed them to my Goldfish. :D

I have 8 Betta's to feed, how many bloodworms should each of them get you think??? And how often?
This is my first time doing any kinda "live" food... I usually just do the pellets and the occasional pea.
Love watching them eat those bloodworms though!
