Like human food, once defrosted should be consumed within 24 hours. To be on safe side I would treat fishes food the same. How long can I keep these in the fridge? I have some in a container with a little bit of water, are they ok like that?? Or is there a better way to store them once you take them out of the freezer??
if you've got the foil packs why not just break bits off from the frozen bits? and keep them frozen, thats what i do, defrost a tiny little bit in a bit of fish tank water in a jug.How long can I keep these in the fridge? I knew someone who simply took a knife and shaved a little off into the tank everytime and put the rest back into the freezer.I did break some off, but it was too much for the fish I have. I guess I'll just have to see if I can chop them into smaller pieces with a knife.
I buy blister packs where there in little sqaure cubes and just drop them straight into the tank.
Oh right, sorry
Have your tried a pill cutter?? There only a pound from a chemist. Put the cube and close it and it will cut it in half, then cut the half in half again you can then re freeze the others bits for next time.
