Frozen Blood Worm

would u like your dinner served frozen

prob best to defrost t first i always do even when im feeding greedy oscars :) just put it in a dish on top of the tank, where the lights are and the heat will thaw it or add some tank water to it ( i just add normal kettle water to mine, but im sure tank water is the right thing to say ;) )

if it the first time your feeding them bloodworm, stand around and watch the fish for a whle feeding, most go crazy for them

i just hold the cube in my hand and let them nibble away and the heat from my fingers helps melt it

i think it depends on how many fish you are feeding...if there are lots, then chuck the whole cube in...if only a few. thaw it so you can distribute it better for everyone to get their share. my betta is a hog and will eat all of them if i dont try to hide some for the cories. just know your fishes feeding habits.

I usually thaw it in a cup of tank water. I feed 3 tanks w/ the worms so just easier for me this way and easier for all the fish to get their share.

A mate of mine chucks them into this large cichlid tank frozen. On my smaller tank I put a cube into a tea strainer and run it under hot water for a bit.

I thaw the bloodworms before adding them to the tank.
Frozen food if not thawed can cause stoamach ache.

the frozen cube defrostes near enough striaght away anyway, i personally prefere live as it makes the fish work for thete food just like they would naturally it will keep them more active

I wish I could get ahold of some live food. Have brine shrimp eggs, but haven't set up any way to hatch them yet.
The fish in our 125 have to kinda work for it :p The filter creates pretty good water flow so it blows the food everywhere so the fish have to chase it :p lol
