Out of all the Fighter's I've owned. He really has the strangest fins! xD

Looks like a Crowntail if I'm not mistaken, he certainly is an interesting color! :D

Yeah, he is a crowntail :) But its the fact his fins are unusually thick! xD Can't really see that in these photo's, but it's really obvious in person :)

Very nice! Liking the colourations actually.

Great pictures. It feels like you're right there in the tank with him. :)

He looks like my Discord, which is a balloon CT. I think they have extra webbing or something?

Just doing the links as the pics are sort of large.

You're right ! Very similar :) It's like too much webbing between the fins.

I've always noticed on your profile pic that DIscord's fins looked really thick, but I didn't know it was a specific type of betta. Can all tail types (viel, HM, CT, etc) be "balloon" or only crown tails?

Yep Frosty and Discord are both balloon CTs.  They have extra webbing between the rays which "balloon" out when they are swimming.

As for other tail types, the same condition is rosetail where there are extra ray splitting.  Doesn't really look the same though.
