From Bad, To Worse, To Mega Bad

I'm nearing saying I'll go for Cardinals as I've heard Neons won't do well in my new setup. I think I'm going to contact the guy from The Tropical Fish Shop as you have, and ask him how much it will cost if I bought my whole stock from him. Surely I will save some pennies there :D

That won't change with cardinals. Cardinals, neons and rummy noses are the one's which consistently do less well in a newer set up. Sorry to bust your bubble there!

I have done my fishless cycle and added my cardinals with no problem. I dont think they are as touchy as their reputation may say. I have heard of quite a few people adding cardinals to a new (cycled) tank

Tht's what I read too, but the guy in the LFS told me today that the Cardinals they get in are always sensitive whereas the Neons are always fine! He said the Cardinals are in his top 5 sensitive fish, totally the opposite of what I've read in this place.

i think it depends on the area, neons are not one bit sensitive round my way as far as i have found, cardinals are a little more but i have had both in new setups and they did fine

In the past, I've had barely any luck with Neons so I think it may be time to give Cardinals their chance to shine. :D

it seems weird that for one price you get a guarantee with price and none with another i understand that margins would be lower but well to me that seems odd. you could understand it if they were slightly larger or from a better supplier but if they were exactly the same fish then it seems like odd. or is that just me?
