I have a raised pond outside.
This summer a small frog appeared (I've had no spawn in my pond) I don't know where it came from.
It seems to have set up home as I see it around a lot.
What can I do to help it get through the winter?
My garden is tiny, & all gravelled but I filled a small section with compost & set some broken terracotta pots around, & made a small wet area for it.
I'm a sucker for wildlife so would like to see it survive, is there anything else I can do?

id say nothing?... i dont know much about frogs but it should survive the winter. i mean it naturally came to your pond? so it would be used the the weather?
just an idea. like i said i dont know much about frogs...

The best overwintering 'thing' for frogs is a stack of logs, with a few gaps between each log. Stack them up on your compost :good:

Thank you, I'll see if I can get some small logs for him
